Basketball Recap: Isaiah Jones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Washington over Buckeye + How To Watch

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Buckeye Hawks. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly six points.

Washington's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Jones, who posted 16 points and seven rebounds. Ben Marquez was another key player, putting up eight points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Washington's record is now 0-5. As for Buckeye, their record now sits at 2-3.

Washington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-57 loss against Kellis on the 16th. As for Buckeye, after both having extra time off, they and Horizon will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
