Basketball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Buckeye Hawks. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly six points.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Buckeye, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will be home for the holidays to greet Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 68.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Buckeye, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
