Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Bruins vs. Everett Seagulls

The Cascade Bruins will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Everett Seagulls at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cascade has now lost nine straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 17.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Cascade and Marysville-Pilchuck, and Marysville-Pilchuck kept the tradition alive. The Bruins lost 74-54 to the Tomahawks on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Everett hadn't done well against Shorecrest recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Seagulls managed a 59-55 victory over the Scots.

Everett pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Cascade, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Cascade suffered a grim 74-49 defeat to Everett in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Thankfully for the Bruins, Noah Parker (who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 18 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
