Basketball Game Preview: Dundee-Crown Chargers vs. Huntley Red Raiders

The Dundee-Crown Chargers will venture away from home to take on the Huntley Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dundee-Crown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Dundee-Crown can't be too worried about heading out to take on Huntley: they just beat McHenry at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Dundee-Crown skirted past McHenry 48-45. The win was all the more spectacular given the Chargers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Warriors are ranked 74th).

Meanwhile, Huntley played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Crystal Lake South, falling 65-45. The Red Raiders have struggled against the Gators recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Huntley's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Dundee-Crown, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.

Dundee-Crown came out on top in a nail-biter against Huntley in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 34-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dundee-Crown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
