Softball Recap: Jemison Takes a Loss

If Jemison was riding high fresh off their 17-3 takedown of Verbena last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jemison Panthers came up short against the Chilton County Tigers on Monday, falling 18-2. The Panthers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Jemison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Bean, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Jemison's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chilton County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

Jemison will face off against Maplesville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chilton County, they will square off against Oak Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Mountain will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Chilton County surely won't give up without a fight.
