Football Recap: Bowie Skates Past Sam Houston with Ease + How To Watch

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Bowie's strategy against Sam Houston on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Volunteers blew the Texans out of the water with a 52-7 final score. With the Volunteers ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Bowie had a senior duo take command as Keidric Osunde-Brown picked up 144 receiving yards and a pair of scores and Jayden Bibbs threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes. With that strong performance, Osunde-Brown is now averaging an impressive 102.2 receiving yards per game.

Bowie didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Galatians Paogofie and Kevin Baines. Paogofie is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Bowie now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sam Houston, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Bowie and Sam Houston will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Volunteers see the field they'll take on Martin at 7:00 p.m. on October 9. As for Sam Houston, their break will end when they face Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
