Preview: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Bishop Moore Hornets
Trinity Prep has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. Having just played yesterday, they will jump right back in to play the Bishop Moore Hornets at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
On Wednesday, things could have been worse for Trinity Prep, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-21 loss to Legacy Charter. Trinity Prep has not had much luck with Legacy Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Bishop Moore's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Florida Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Bishop Moore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Central Florida Christian Academy is ranked 32nd).
Trinity Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Bishop Moore, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Trinity Prep was taken down by Bishop Moore 63-5 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Trinity Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
