Football Game Preview: Glassboro Bulldogs vs. Cinnaminson Pirates

The Glassboro Bulldogs will face off against the Cinnaminson Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Glassboro's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Glassboro's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Deptford 56-0. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Glassboro had a senior duo take command as Amari Sabb picked up 191 receiving yards and three touchdowns and Jack Oconnell threw for 191 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Sabb's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards.

Glassboro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Glassboro's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Brandon Simmons Jr and Dorian Kelsey, who racked up four sacks between them. Simmons Jr has been hot for a while, having posted at least one sack the last 14 times he's played. Another thorn in Deptford's side was Junior Serrano, who made 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cinnaminson). They blew past Florence Township Memorial 20-0 on Friday. The Pirates not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 28-0).

The win got Cinnaminson back to even at 3-3. As for Glassboro, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything came up roses for Glassboro against Cinnaminson in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-10 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
