Recap: South Titans vs. West Pioneers

Even though the West Pioneers scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the South Titans still came out on top. South came out on top in a nail-biter against West and snuck past 58-56. That's another feather in the cap for South, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

West lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rob Basks Jr, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Basks Jr has scored all season. Gavyn Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds.

South has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for West, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South will take on Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kapaun Mt. Carmel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 884 points over their last 13 contests. As for West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. North comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
