Football Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Centennial's offense. They lost 21-0 to the Moorpark Musketeers on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Hawks have lost by exactly 21 points.

Josiah Grant threw for 31 yards. Brady Pray was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Mikel Iturriria rushed for 103 yards.

Leading Moorpark to victory were Troy Reyes and Angel Castaneda. Reyes threw for 242 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes, while Castaneda rushed for 41 yards and a pair of scores. Those 242 passing yards gave Reyes a new career-high.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Moorpark, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will host Independence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Moorpark, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Birmingham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
