Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, River Valley couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 66-54 to the Maysville Panthers on Sunday. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak.

Chase Ebert and Carter Myers certainly did their best on Sunday to avoid the loss. Ebert shot 67% from the field on his way to 19 points and five assists, while Myers went 6-for-13 to rack up 15 points. Myers is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Weston, who posted eight points and three steals.

Maysville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Iden, who shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points. Kane Roehrig was another key player, going 5-for-8 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 24-3. As for Maysville, they pushed their record up to 25-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maysville, they will face off against Wyoming at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Maysville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 matches.
