Williamsport entered their tilt with Oakdale on Thursday with seven consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Oakdale. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Williamsport had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Skylar Norris paced Williamsport's offense, picking up 21 kills. Norris got some help from McKenna Murphy and her 24 assists. Catherine Warren and Cali McClung kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Williamsport's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Williamsport and Oakdale will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Wildcats see the court they'll take on Brunswick at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Oakdale, their break will end when they face Clear Spring at 7:00 p.m. on October 21.
