Softball Recap: Archbishop McCarthy Comes Up Short

Archbishop McCarthy might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was South Plantation who claimed the real prize. Archbishop McCarthy fell just short of South Plantation by a score of 8-7. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Krista Confesssore made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lydia Springer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Archbishop McCarthy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for South Plantation, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.

Archbishop McCarthy has already played their next matchup, a 9-7 win against Pembroke Pines Charter on the 20th. As for South Plantation, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Broward at 3:45 p.m. on April 4.
