Basketball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland was the 60-55 winner over Appleton City when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakeland Vikings lost to the Appleton City Bulldogs on the road by a 56-41 margin on Monday.

Lakeland has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Appleton City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

Lakeland has already played their next contest (against Chilhowee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Appleton City is taking a road trip to challenge Drexel at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th.
