Basketball Recap: Brookhaven Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from NICHOLAS GAMBLE and TRISTION THOMAS

It was a proper cat-fight when Brookhaven took on Crystal Springs on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Brookhaven's loss came despite strong showings from TRISTION THOMAS and NICHOLAS GAMBLE. THOMAS dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds, while GAMBLE went 7-for-13 to rack up 16 points and seven boards. THOMAS has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. JARIYON HARRIS also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Brookhaven's record now sits at 5-4. As for Crystal Springs, their record is now 6-4.

Looking ahead, Brookhaven will be playing in front of their home fans against Mendenhall at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. As for Crystal Springs, they will head out to square off against Florence at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
