Volleyball Recap: Somerset Academy Losee Comes Up Short

Somerset Academy Losee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-18, 25-14.

Shelby Graham paced Somerset Academy Losee's offense, picking up eight kills. Graham got some help from Ava Jones-Deleon and her 21 assists. Graham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Somerset Academy Losee's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Somerset Academy Losee is set to take on their familiar foe Las Vegas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mater Academy East Las Vegas will square off against rival Mojave at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
