Softball Recap: Archie Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hume last Monday, Archie came back down to earth. The Whirlwinds came up short against the Adrian Blackhawks on Tuesday, falling 11-5. The Whirlwinds have struggled against the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Elsie Parsons was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Karley Plumber, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Archie now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Adrian, their record now sits at 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archie will face off against Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Adrian, they will challenge Lone Jack at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
