Lake-Lehman waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Hanover Area Hawkeyes 11-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

Hannah Chipego made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Kaitlyn Brudnicki was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Hayley Wallace, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Lake-Lehman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in nine consecutive games.

Lake-Lehman pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hanover Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Lake-Lehman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-1 victory against Wyoming Area on the 7th. As for Hanover Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-6 win against Greater Nanticoke Area on the 5th.
