Basketball Recap: Meadowcreek Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Meadowcreek had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the West Forsyth Wolverines 76-57 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2016.

Fred Williams was nothing short of spectacular: he went 7-for-10 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Those 18 points gave him a new career-high. Jayson Fleming was another key player, going 5-for-6 to rack up 13 points and five assists.

Meadowcreek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Meadowcreek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for West Forsyth and nudges their season record down to 13-16.

Looking ahead, Meadowcreek will venture away from home to take on Grayson at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grayson will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Meadowcreek surely won't give up without a fight. West Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
