Baseball Recap: Cathedral Catholic Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Cathedral Catholic won against Bonita Vista last Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Dons walked away with a 10-6 win over the Scripps Ranch Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Dons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kaden Kuhn looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hunter Harrington and Alex Harrington did most of the damage at the plate: Hunter went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Alex went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Max Stewart also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cathedral Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Scripps Ranch struck out 11 times.

Cathedral Catholic's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.
