Mission Viejo had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 12-13 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Tesoro Titans. For the Diablos, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 win the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

As for Tesoro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs.

For Tesoro's part, Loula McNamara spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits. McNamara has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.

Mission Viejo will have a chance to go back-to-back against Tesoro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
