Basketball Recap: Prairie View Falls to Fairview in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Prairie View had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 57-52 to the Fairview Knights on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Thunderhawks in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost seven in a row.

Prairie View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Daniel Dunn, who posted 12 points along with six boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Jameson Lichtenberg, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 17 points and five rebounds.

Fairview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevor Ochs, who shot 54% from the field en route to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gus Van Matre, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 16 points and five boards.

Prairie View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 87-49 defeat against Fossil Ridge on the 3rd. As for Fairview, they will take on Ponderosa in a tournament on Monday.
