Soccer Recap: Farmville Central Beats Southwest Edgecombe for Their Third Straight Win

Farmville Central proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars a 1-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in March.

Farmville Central's one-goal win came courtesy of Madison Denham, who's now up to 17 this season.

As for SouthWest Edgecombe, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

As for SouthWest Edgecombe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Pitt at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Pitt's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so SouthWest Edgecombe's offense will have their work cut out for them.
