Highland had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Sugar-Salem Diggers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since October 4, 2024.

Kennedi Winder paced Highland's offense, picking up ten kills. Winder got some help from Jaycie Homer and her 12 assists. Brinley Homer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Firth on the 22nd. As for Sugar-Salem, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Columbia on the 22nd.
