Recap: Cardinal Ritter College Prep Lions vs. Central Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Cardinal Ritter College Prep Lions walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 52-22 victory over the Tigers at home. The victory was just business as usual for Cardinal Ritter College Prep, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.
Central's loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Keyshawn Boyd and Zai'aire Thomas. Boyd rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns, while Thomas gained 132 total yards. Boyd is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last seven games he's played.
Cardinal Ritter College Prep pushed their record up to 14-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.31 points. As for Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
Cardinal Ritter College Prep will square off against Republic at TBD on Friday. Republic is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
