Soccer Recap: Mica Mountain Has No Trouble Against Sahuarita

Mica Mountain kept a clean sheet against Sahuarita on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Sahuarita Mustangs with a sharp 4-0 win. Given the Thunderbolts' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Mustangs are ranked 94th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mica Mountain hit Sahuarita with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Colin Douglas, Grady Coleman, Julian Ordaz, and Cameron Turner.

Mica Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six games. As for Sahuarita, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Mica Mountain didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Buena on the 16th. As for Sahuarita, they will take on Walden Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Walden Grove has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 17 goals over their last three matchups.
