Recap: Camp Verde Cowboys vs. Apache Junction Prospectors

The Camp Verde Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Apache Junction with a sharp 58-35 victory on Wednesday. Given Camp Verde's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Apache Junction is ranked 318th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan Mcmahon-fullmer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Camp Verde's points. Caleb Bahe was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

The win makes it two in a row for Camp Verde and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Apache Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Camp Verde's road trip will continue as they head out to face Show Low at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Show Low knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Camp Verde likes a good challenge. Apache Junction won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pinon at 9:00 a.m. on December 28th.
