Baseball Recap: Spruce Mountain Takes a Loss

Madison hit Spruce Mountain with a eight-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Phoenix lost 11-1 to the Bulldogs. The loss continues a trend for the Phoenix in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Spruce Mountain saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Labonte, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Spruce Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
