John Farris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Western Hills is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5 otherwise. Farris was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI.
