Softball Recap: Vashon Island Comes Up Short

Vashon Island managed to slip by South Whidbey the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Vashon Island lost 21-1 to South Whidbey on Saturday. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Vashon Island's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. South Whidbey has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Vashon Island will host Klahowya at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Whidbey, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cedar Park Christian at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
