Basketball Recap: Ayersville Pilots vs. Antwerp Archers

In what's become a running theme this season, the Ayersville Pilots gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 48-25 margin over Antwerp. Winning may never get old, but Ayersville sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ally Schindler continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Taylor Craft, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Ayersville's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Antwerp, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ayersville has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Wauseon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Pilots are ranked 100th). As for Antwerp, they will be playing at home against the Locomotives at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
