Softball Preview: Mohave Accelerated Patriots vs. Lee Williams Volunteers

After ten games on the road, Mohave Accelerated is heading back home. They will take on the Lee Williams Volunteers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Mohave Accelerated stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Arizona Lutheran Academy.

Megan Jones was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Jones has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Jones was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Tanner Banks was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
