Recap: Red Hill Salukis vs. Webber Trojans

The Red Hill Salukis lost against the Webber Trojans back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Red Hill fell 54-44 to Webber. While losing is never fun, Red Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while Webber is ranked 204th).

Webber found their leader in underclassman Nathaniel Marlow, who scored 20 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Marlow has scored at least a third of Webber's points. Nikkos Ulm was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Red Hill's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-11. As for Webber, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Red Hill will head out on the road to face off against Grayville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grayville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Webber, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayne City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
