Wadley is 2-8 against Woodland since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wadley Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Woodland Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. Wadley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Wadley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Randolph County, but still couldn't quite topple them. Wadley blew past Randolph County 12-4 on Saturday.

Ty Taylor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Landon Gilliland was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jaylon Marable was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Wadley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Woodland challenged Cleburne County on Monday. Woodland came up short against Cleburne County, falling 11-1. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wadley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
