Baseball Recap: Hillsborough Comes Up Short

Hillsborough scored first but ultimately less than Leto in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Hillsborough saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Pena, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Hillsborough and nudges their season record down to 6-17. As for Leto, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Hillsborough and Leto are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Terriers will take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hillsborough is facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Leto, they will face off against Spoto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
