Volleyball Recap: Halle Srb Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Denmark

It's playoff time, and Freedom had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Denmark Vikings by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Irish in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

While Freedom might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Denmark scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21.

Freedom's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Halle Srb led the charge by getting 16 digs and six assists. That's the most digs Srb has posted since back in September. Norah Koss was another key player, getting 12 digs and two aces.

Freedom's record now sits at 23-11. As for Denmark, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 23-10 record this season.

Freedom will take on Fox Valley Lutheran on Saturday. Denmark does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
