Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond had won two straight games and Sara Herschberger did her part to make it three on Monday. The Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights were the clear victor by a 45-23 margin over the Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon Knights thanks in part to Herschberger, who posted eight points in addition to 13 boards and four steals. Those four steals gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Casteel, who scored five points and eight rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will welcome Unity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon, they will face off against Arcola at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
