Football Recap: Pineview Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chilton Christian Academy last Friday, Pineview Christian came back down to earth. The Warriors were dealt a 62-30 defeat at the hands of the Marshall Christian Academy Stallions on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stallions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Jedi Metz threw for 197 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes. Manuel Thomason was his top target, picking up 140 receiving yards. On the ground, Zack Scroggins rushed for 58 yards on only eight carries.

Pineview Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Coincidentally, Pineview Christian and Marshall Christian Academy will both be playing First Assembly Christian the next time they take the field. The Stallions will host the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
