Basketball Recap: McIntosh County Academy Victorious

McIntosh County Academy came into Monday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Johnson Atomsmashers 45-43.

McIntosh County Academy found their leader in freshman J?Myiah Moore, who posted 17 points and three steals. Zione Bland was another key player, putting up 12 points.

McIntosh County Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Johnson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

McIntosh County Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-22 win against Portal on the 3rd. After both having extra time off, Johnson and Jenkins will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
