Volleyball Recap: Viroqua Gets the Win

Viroqua had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds.

Megan Brendel paced Viroqua's offense, picking up nine kills. Brendel got some help from Emma Moilien and her 14 assists. Moilien also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emily Hubatch, racking up two apiece.

Viroqua has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Cashton on the 26th. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Sturgeon Bay on the 26th.
