Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mounds View). They put the hurt on the Irondale Knights with a sharp 12-4 win on Friday. The Mustangs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 10-2).

Mounds View pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Irondale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Mounds View will take on Forest Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Irondale, they will square off against East Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
