Volleyball Recap: Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of three wins, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Starr's Mill Panthers. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2016.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Starr's Mill work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24.

Starr's Mill can attribute much of their success to Sophia Olson, who had six digs and three aces. Hazel Foppe also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Starr's Mill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will challenge Creekside Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Starr's Mill, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Woodward Academy on the 23rd.
