Softball Recap: Enochs Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Catholic, Enochs was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Big Valley Christian Lions by a score of 8-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-10 last Tuesday.

Soraya Mendoza tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Lillian Camarena was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Audrey Sayers was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

The victory got Enochs back to even at 2-2. As for Big Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Enochs has already played their next match, an 11-4 loss against East Union on the 1st. As for Big Valley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-4 win against Ripon on the 27th.
