Basketball Recap: McKinney North Takes a Loss

McKinney North lost against Emerson back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The McKinney North Bulldogs fell 48-41 to the Emerson Mavericks. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while the Mavericks are ranked 268th).

McKinney North's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Emerson, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

McKinney North will be home for the holidays to greet Denison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Emerson, they will venture away from home to challenge Independence at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
