Volleyball Preview: Seeger Patriots vs. North Vermillion Falcons
Seeger has been away from home for six games now, but on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will host the North Vermillion Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Seeger didn't have quite enough to beat Sheridan and fell 2-1.
Seeger came into the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-22, 15-10.
Despite their defeat, Seeger saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Aubry Herbert, who had seven digs and four aces, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance gave her a new career- in aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Spear, who had nine digs and two aces.
Meanwhile, North Vermillion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Crawfordsville.
After all that action, the final score was 25-18, 20-25, 25-19, 25-17.
Seeger's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for North Vermillion, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
