Woodward skates past Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool with ease

The Woodward Bulldogs waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They really took it to Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-43 win at home. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for Woodward this season.

Woodward had a senior duo take command as Ru Mills almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds and Jeremiah Hughes scored 16 points along with eight assists and three steals. Mills is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Donte Ferrell, who scored nine points along with five assists and four steals.

Woodward used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool. And. Terrence Watson made the most of the opportunity, scoring six points along with five rebounds. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Despite the loss, Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Kidd scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Luke Enders was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Woodward will look to defend their home court on Friday against Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Western Hills' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bluegrass United at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Bluegrass United focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday.
