Volleyball Recap: St. Laurence Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

There's no place like home for St. Laurence, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Latin Romans on Tuesday. The Vikings were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Romans, so the Vikings were just returning the favor.

St. Laurence easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19.

St. Laurence is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Latin, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 18-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Laurence will challenge IC Catholic Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Latin, they will host Resurrection at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
