Softball Game Preview: Rich Township Raptors vs. Crete-Monee Warriors

For the second straight game, Rich Township will face off against Crete-Monee. The Raptors will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rich Township has given up an average of 12.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rich Township is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They lost 22-5 to Crete-Monee.

For Crete-Monee's part, Taleeana Ramirez and Giselle Angulo did most of the damage at the plate: Ramirez got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI, while Angulo went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and four RBI. That's the most runs Angulo has posted since back in April. Leah Guillermo was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Crete-Monee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .848. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Crete-Monee's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Rich Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.
