Elgin suffers fifth straight loss on the road

Recap: Elgin Comets vs. Lucas Cubs
The Elgin Comets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Lucas on the road and fell 72-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Elgin has scored all season.
Logan Toms continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lucas, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Culler, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Elgin dropped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lucas, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.
Elgin will be playing at home against the Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Upper Scioto Valley will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Lucas, they will head out on the road to challenge the Redbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
