Basketball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 53-45 to the Irving Tigers. The Cardinals were probably out for revenge after losing 32-31 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Irving, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12.

MacArthur and Irving could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. MacArthur (ranked 763rd) will meet Richardson (ranked 58th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Irving will challenge Lake Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 776 places (825 vs. 49).
